How-To: Hard Whip

For this week's social media post we had to make a How-To video for YouTube. I decided to make a video showing everyone how I do my signature dance move, the hard whip. To some it may look like your average everyday whip, but that is just not the case. The name implies it's meaning, you do it with much more force and assertiveness. So go on over to my YouTube channel and watch my video, I know you're going to love it! I'll go through the steps on my blog too, just in case you'd like to print out this post and take it around with you so you always have the instructions at hand.

1. Stretch it out I may or may not have been sore the day after I first tried this move, so I highly recommend stretching before performing this high-intensity dance.

2. Find a song It's a common misconception that you can only whip to the song "Watch Me" by Silento, but I'm here to bust that myth. All you need is a good beat you can follow and you'll be whipping in no tim…

Reacting to Pinterest Searches

This week in the Social Media Marketing Workbook by Jason McDonald we're talking Pinterest. If there is one thing I know about Pinterest, it's that I don't know anything about Pinterest. As a social-media loving sorority girl in the 21st century this is probably shocking. Also, this book says Pinterest is aimed at the female demographic who love to online shop and if you know me, you know I have an online shopping addiction. Anyway, I have tried multiple times to set up a Pinterest and I just cannot get into it. It definitely would've helped when it came time to craft for my little this year, but somehow I managed without.

For today's post I thought we could have some fun, or maybe this won't be fun or entertaining at all in which case I am so sorry. I thought I might try to search some random things on Pinterest a…

ONU Homecoming Parade 2016

This past weekend was Homecoming at Ohio Northern University. It's a chance for alumni of the university to come back and visit the place they once called home, whether it was last year or 50 years ago. There were many events all weekend long that people could participate in, and I had the opportunity to live tweet one of the best events on campus.

Zeta Tau Alpha has a float in the annual Homecoming parade every single year, and this year I rode it alongside some of my sisters while we chanted and blew bubbles. We rode through the streets of Ada waving at alumni and residents of the village as we passed.

This year our float was decorated in pink streamers and ribbons to help us celebrate Pink Month in honor of our philanthropy Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.

I got an amazing video of us meeting a Zeta alumna while riding down Main Street. She yelled and cheered at us and proceeded to throw the crown (our hand symbol that we all love to make in pictures). I even got to see no…
