The Most Influential Things in my 19 Years of Life

Katie Paine talks about influential people in your marketplace in her book "Measure What Matters". She says there are probably 100 influential people in your marketplace, but you only truly know about 25 of them. This got me thinking about the top 25 most influential people, companies, or things in my life, which are in no particular order. These are the people, things, etc. that have shaped my life to be what it is today, in any way at all.

Social Media Thanksgiving

IT'S THANKSGIVING WEEK! You know what that means. The one week out of the year that we all pretend we are way more grateful for simple pleasures in life than we actually are. One of my simple pleasures in life is this blog, and social media in general. So today I'm telling you five things I'm thankful for, specifically about social media.

1. A distraction Social media can be a blessing or a curse in this regard, depending on how you look at it. But I choose for this to be a blessing, specifically right now as I'm writing this blog post and distracting myself from the economics paper I have to write.

2. A reunion of sorts Social media can be a great way to reunite and catch up with loved ones, old friends, and teachers you haven't heard from in a while.

3. A creative outlet I'm especially thankful for this blog this year. Blogging hasn't always been easy, and my posts haven't always been great, I'll be the first one to admit that. But this blog has give…
